Back in the month of May All Saints Youth Project was approached by the Groundworks Team at Tesco Community Grants, seeking greater information about one of our newer youth work provisions.
The team had heard from a contact about the LGBTQi+ group - MOSAIC, operating here at the youth project and were eager to learn more. Following a detailed discussion with Jordan - YP Volunteers and Special Projects Coordinator, who shared the premise of the group, the demographic, values and shared the importance on the need for creating a safe space for young Lesbian Gay Transgender Queer Intersex, and those who may be questioning and or exploring their identity. (see below for details about MOSAIC group).
Pleased with what they heard; we later invited to submit an application for this particular project, to be considered for an upcoming community grant in the Birmingham area. During June/July (pride month) the funding team were specifically seeking local projects who are delivering work with the LGBTQi+ community.
Following a submission, I am delighted to announce our application was successful and project will be put forward to a customer vote in the following Tesco stores:

So, what exactly is MOSAIC?
MOSAIC is a targeted provision that provides support, friendship, and a safe space for LGBTQIA+ identifying young people aged 11-19 years old.
Young people who attend will be able to engage in a range of activities like arts and crafts, various games, focused projects, while having a safe space to chat with other young people and youth workers about their identities.
The Young People will also help shape the future of the MOSAIC group, ensuring it is always relevant to them and to help it grow and continue to offer the support and friendship for all who need it.
If you would like to make a 'referral' via the tab at the top of the webpage... select youth activities and specify MOSAIC. Alternatively contact:
